Product Review ~ Pride Eyeshadow Palette

Product Review ~ Pride Eyeshadow Palette

This amazing product was something I spotted on my social media adverts over Pride month and I fell in love, I’ve also been trying to add colour to my wardrobe so this was fate.

The colours are highly pigmented, blend really well and are BEAUTIFUL colours/glitters. One sweep of a make up brush picks up a lot of the colour and therefore it does have some excess that may fall onto the rest of your face, now don’t get me wrong this could be because I’m not great with make up but I do recommend putting a tissue or something under your eyes (just in case) to catch the extra powders so it doesn’t colour the rest of your face. There are so many colour combinations and I’m having so much fun playing around with them all, some of the combinations have made me feel very 80’s and I am absolutely ok with that (especially after binging Stranger Things recently). If the selection of colours/glitters and featured LGBTQ+ names weren’t enough the donation to AKT may sway you.

The first outing I decided to brave such bright colours was for a work colleagues leaving drinks, I got a bit carried away with colours and this was one of my 80’s looks but I loved it! Tried it with my Ciate London glitter flip lipstick as well and got lots of compliments- I should obviously wear more colour more often and with the palette now in my arsenal I intend to.

I have been treating myself to a few luxuries recently but most of the items seem to have a theme of helping others, either helping others like this product including a charitable donation or changing to environmentally friendly versions of things, I not only now have my water bottle (that I use every day instead of single use plastic bottles) and my metal foldaway straw but also a FFS razor, a set of bamboo toothbrushes and I’ve got back into using loose leaf tea (bought a selection from T2 and Whittards in Cheltenham) and therefore no longer using any teabags, just my trusty metal infuser. I’m consciously trying to make a difference, I know it’s only little things but I’m still determined to save the world one item at a time.

I also treated myself to some new clothes recently too but I won’t get too much into that as I plan to write some of them into another post so watch this space ^_^

Going back to the subject matter of this post I thought I would give a bit more info about the charity that Jolie Beauty donated some of this collections proceeds to, AKT, in case you are not familiar with them.

AKT are a voluntary organisation which helps to prevent homelessness for the LGBTQ+ community, if you want more info you can find it on their website, but their main mantras are:

OUR VISION- A world without LGBTQ+ youth homelessness

OUR MISSION- Preventing LGBTQ+ youth homelessness, because no young person should have to choose between a safe home and being who they are

Long story short I love these colours and the fact it meant I was doing a good deed at the same time. I would definitely recommend this selection, I also got a discount voucher with my purchase too so will no doubt buy some more colours from Jolie Beauty in future too.

Until next time, TTFN.

What do you think of Jolie Beauty’s Pride palette? What’s your favourite colour/glitter? Do you own any of their other collections? Let me know in the comments.
